When you say short, how many volumes do you mean? Is romance required? Is something that was dropped by another group unacceptable?

    • kalendel says:

Iโ€™m thinking side projects, so the shorter they are, the more likely weโ€™ll be able to do them over the next year as we do UD. 1 or 2 vol has the best chance, 3 is already pushing it. Dropped projects are fine to suggest:) Background romance is fine, but if itโ€™s romance focused, itโ€™s no longer a slice of life family drama. Looking for family relationships, mostly. With feels. Feels a must.

You know, Boku wa ne would be a perfect fit for this. But if you do ever pick it up, would you consider resuming from where Saigo no Shou left off? I don’t want to sound ungrateful, but Nyajinski’s work is almost unreadable. That still comes down to just 1 volume and 1 chapter. (I’ve pitched this manga, in this same way, to three other groups already. No one’s biting, though, orz. Maybe I should change my approach…)

Matsuru Kami looks like a good fit. 2 volumes and maybe 1 or 2 chapters.

Tsuzuki wa Mata Ashita is perfect theme-wise, but there are 3 volumes left.

Tokyo Voyager Record, maybe. It’s just a brother and sister, though, so not sure.

Again pushing it at a little under 3 volumes is Tsumi to Bachi.

Chichi no Koyomi‘s in line with all the specifications, from what I can tell.

Flat is another good one, but its unscanlated chapter count comes up to 3 volumes and a couple of chapters, so…

You’ll be happy to know that Futago Scans is going to finish off Boku wa ne ๐Ÿ˜‰ Trans are already up, they’re just figuring out editing. I sent them raws last week or so.

Too funny, I noticed Matsuru Kami this morning on amazon.co.jp and jotted it on my list of things to check out more, haha. Will also check out Tokyo Voyager. Chichi no Koyomi’s art isn’t for me, and Tsumi to Bachi is a bit too silly.

Tsuzuki wa Mata Ashita is *exactly* what I’m looking for. I actually own it, and I don’t remember why it’s not on the potentials page already (love the author). Oh wait, Blue Flor was doing it when I started the group, that’s why >.>; It’s a lot, but I think the chapters are short, so it might be doable. …but then I’d have to scan it… *slinks away*

Lots of different groups have planned on continuing Flat over the past year — one should eventually get to it.

Just noticed that those link are useless, since they all lead to some weird blank page, pfft. Sorry about that! ~.~

Glad to know that my suggestions were useful! I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for one or the other of Tsuzuki, Tokyo, and Matsuru, then.

It seems I forgot to mention Tsubaki Biyori and its sequel, Tsubaki Dayori (both 1 volume each), but since they have a BL tint (not yaoi, ofc), I guess they don’t suit LSD anyway.

Tsubaki Biyori and its sequel, Tsubaki Dayori is super super cute. I am a big fan of the artist and the group that worked on it kind of disappeared… but they did the first three chapters of Tsubaki Biyori!

I think Sansanroku by Toda Seiji is exactly what you’re looking for. It definitely wrenches at the heart. I did hear a rumor that another group was interested, but it’s been some months since that rumor reached my ears.

    • Atlantis says:

Oops, I meant by Kouno Fumiyo. >_<

Thanks for the rec ๐Ÿ™‚ But I actually don’t like manga like this with short chapters and lots of frames. I like expansive images with relatively little text… a picture tells a thousand words.

Could I recommend Nieruchi? I came across it today. Actually I just saw the raws (its length is only one volume) and I thought of your group. It’s a melancholic josei that combines drama, romance, has incest and it’s a serious read. Take a look! If you can’t find the raws, I could send you the volume!

    • kalendel says:

Thanks for the rec! I’d actually also DLed those raws when they popped up on the raw sites.

But incest (and sexual violence) are a no-go for me. As are manga focusing on “broken people having sex”, prostitution, etc. Just not into it.

  6. Um, Sorry for the inconvinience. Actually, we’d like to translate”Umi no Mukou, Tsuki no Uragawa” from your scanlations into Vietnamese and we want to ensure that we’re under your permission to be able to start working with it. For sure, we’ll certainly release them for free.
Hope to receive your response soon.
    Thank you.
