Outbreak
Just one release today! Neko Mix is jarringly on-topic, although about a million times weirder than the actual real life epidemic we’re all facing. Enjoy? And we’re still looking for a magical fan who wants to become our QCer =D
Neko Mix Genkitan Toraji v10 c31 [DL] [Read]
And now a coronavirus PSA from LSD:
1) The majority of our readers are young, but understand that you still need to take precautions. You can transmit the coronavirus without being symptomatic. For the sake of your older family members and coworkers, wash your hands, open doors with a tissue, and practice social distancing. Think of your parents and grandparents. Even if the virus poses no real threat to you, be considerate of vulnerable populations and help slow the spread of transmission.
2) Flatten the curve: if we follow precautions to reduce the transmission rate, fewer people will get sick at once. The curve of the outbreak over time will be flatter, rather than peaking with a massive number of cases. If we can do this, we can prevent our hospitals from being overwhelmed, a situation that’s currently happening in parts of Europe. If the health care system is overwhelmed, the sick won’t get the care they need, and people will die needlessly. We need to prevent this by slowing transmission.
3) Don’t panic. Your tap water is just fine to drink, and grocery stories are all getting their regular shipments. You have food and water. If you do get (mildly) sick, self-quarantine and order what you need online. Listen to the news and the doctors they interview about common sense measures to take. Practice social distancing. It’s been 3 months since this began in China; for countries just starting to get cases, understand these precautions will likely continue for 3+ months.
Science is an amazing thing, and vaccines are already in clinical trials, but testing takes time. This is the new normal. Hunker down, be patient, and above all else, wash your hands and don’t touch your face.
We shall continue to provide distractions in the form of manga. Stay safe, stay healthy, and let’s all get through this.
I have trouble with the no touching my face part. Give me strength, o great Kal!
I work in a lab, so I learned over the years to avoid face touching. If you want something to deter you, you could take a sharpie and draw an X on each fingerprint (finger pad). Since that might actually rub off on your face and leave a black smudge, it’s a simple way to add a negative association to touching your face.
Good luck! To everyone, oof.
