Lost in the Woods

Today we have the start of a new little project, Tomonen. This collection of oneshots is all about kids being cute, and features beautifully detailed watercolor art. Nothing too deep or dark here, just something to put a smile on your face. Tomonen was the first manga publication by Ooba Kenya, who primarily illustrates children’s books. She’s published two more manga along the same vein since then. I hope everyone enjoys!

Now, on to our current problem: Batoto, which hosts our series for online reading, is closing. As far as I know, no other online readers allow users (i.e., me) to upload chapters, so I have no way of putting our series out there. I expect that other online readers will crawl our site and upload most of our releases, but there are no guarantees.

Because of this…

1) Since we use free hosting, we can’t set up our own online reader. All “read online” options will disappear this week and remain gone until I can find a reader which lets me upload chapters. (Today’s will be the last on Batoto.)

2) Downloading releases from this site will be the only way to get the HQ releases. Even if the series pops up on other reader sites, the quality will be reduced.

3) At the bottom of the site (scroll down!), I’ve added buttons to follow by email or wordpress. If you follow us, you’ll get an email every time we post a release.

4) With Batoto gone, it will be harder for folks to find us or our niche projects. If you use social media, or are active at manga hubs like r/manga or 4chan, please feel free to post about our projects. I don’t do anything to promote our releases besides update this site and mangaupdates, so any fans out there… please spread the word about things you like!
