…and that went poorly.

Ultrabaroque Deprogrammer v02 c10 [DL]

In my expanded quest to spread the word about the interesting-looking manga I find, I’ll also be mentioning new titles as I add them to the potentials page. Not that we have any definite plans to do all of them, but maybe, someday, some of them šŸ™‚ Both Shigematsu Narumi and Amano Taka are unscanlated authors.
Babel (Shigematsu Narumi) (seinen) > virtual reality, mystery
Ito Meguri no Sobyou (Aoi Aki) (josei) > character growth, embroidery
Majo Maria (Amano Taka) (seinen) > witches, fairy tales
Shiroi Hon no Monogatari (Shigematsu Narumi) (seinen) > books, character growth

How is it that you always seem to pick titles that I’ve been watching?! I saw Babel, Ito Meguri and Shiroi Hon on Amazon some months back, and added them to my (800+ titles long) “watching for scans” list. And now, less than half a year later… Wow.

I wonder if these comments make me look like a stalker… (Can you stalk a scanlation group? And if you can, is it as bad as internet stalking? I hope not ^_^) But I read a lot of SiH and The End titles, too, so I guess we just have fairly similar tastes.

Btw – is the protagonist of Shiroi Hon a guy or a girl? It’s a bit difficult to tell from the new cover and the e-book preview pages, though the old cover makes them look like a guy.

Majo Maria looks promising, too, though I hadn’t noticed it before.

I think amazon makes it happen… you find a title you like, then look at amazon recommendations, and then you find 4 more titles you like (often the same publisher), and look at all of their recommendations… and down the rabbit hole you go. I’d definitely be interested in checking out your list to find more stuff to post on my list =D

Shiroi Hon is about a boy who lost is father and winds up finding his footing by taking up training at a book-maker’s shop. (So, a boy.)

I noticed Majo Maria because vhirx @ One Snowshoe posted it on his potentials page =D Babel I only noticed because some partial raws were posted online. I’m not actually like a wizard finding these things šŸ˜‰

Seems I have Amazon Japan to blame for my endless dreams about manga that’ll never see the light of day in English XD

You can look through my lists if ever you have the time. I’m calstine on MU, and my lists are public.

BTW – what happened to One Snowshoe? They were doing some good projects but they suddenly slowed down. Though they recently released a few chapters of Coffee Mou Ippai, which I liked, so hopefully they’re back on their feet.

OK O.o Got your lists. I’ll go through them slowly when I’m too bored to do anything else and yoink some things šŸ˜‰

About OS, vhirx had a bunch of IRL stuff hit him at once, and he’s been focusing heavily on a (really cool) experiment/project that I’m sure he’ll announce once it’s up and running. I’m glad he came back to keep OS going, though!
