I’m glad you specified that, actually. Nothing irritates me more than people accusing the series that came first of copying the one that came second. A common comment for Kaori Yuki’s Godchild, for example, is that it’s a rip-off of the much more popular Kuroshitsuji, despite the fact that the latter came out over a decade later >_<
Though really, accusations of copying are annoying no matter which way they're made. If we were to never read/watch things with borrowed concepts, then there'd hardly be any new works of fiction coming out!
