Just a Little Puzzle

081015

Shikou Shounen was the original impetus for me to open this group; I planned to start it (and this group) years ago, but was promptly tied up doing other things. It’s very much a puzzle, though the pieces — the individual stories — hardly start to coalesce until volume two. Since it’s best read all at once, we’re going to try and release two chapters a week, so everyone can get to the conclusion faster. Oh! And a thanks to ryuuji from Pigeon Scans for editing these first two chapters before Ximena took over =D

Shikou Shounen v01 c01 + c02 [DL @ Mega or MF]

A note: Fujiwara Kaoru’s character designs tend to be similar, so readers might wonder if Person A in chapter 1 is the same as Person B in chapter 2. This isn’t the case. It is fairly obvious (through context) when the stories do tie together and you get a link; similarly, the one character that appears in all chapters has a unique character design (he’s at the center of the puzzle, so keep an eye out for his cameos). I hope you find this manga as intriguing and unique as I did 🙂

Thank you so much for Shikou Shounen! I’m always looking for more of Fujiwara Kaoru’s work. Imagine my delight finding you guys, of all people, scanlating this series! It was SiH that got me hooked on Fujiwara sensei’s work, too. Looking forward to the following chapters! (Meanwhile, gotta go binge-read Mayonaka no Ariadne. It’s been on my to-read list for a while now, and Shimotsuki Kayoko is another wonderful author you guys got me hooked-up on~)

Unfortunately, she doesn’t have many more works out. She went on a rather long hiatus, and just a few years ago started creating again. But her newest work is all incesty — and sexual taboos are not something I enjoy reading.

But we do have some other works from mangaka I loved during my SiH days, so maybe you’ll see some more familiar names pop up 🙂

I’m not fond of her disturbing sexual taboo stuff, either, but otherwise she has a stellar collection of works. Even Omae ga Sekai o Kowashitai nara, which I’ve read only once, but stayed with me after that till now (and is one of my favourite titles) had incredibly upsetting things… but her way of story telling, beautiful art, and the mind-blowing twists she brings out in her plots are truly something else.

SiH had a wonderful stock of translated titles, just the right type for my tastes. Thank you for introducing me to great series and great authors! I’ll be looking forward to what LSD (lol) brings us in the future!

Decided to give this manga a shot, and I’m not disappointed. Unique art and an intriguing plot – I love mysteries and I love shoujo and josei manga with a dark ambience. Thanks for translating! I’m glad Lovely Strange Dark exists.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Fujiwara Kaoru-sensei! I felt in love with her art and unique stories after reading Vampire Girl (and man that freaking ending was wow)

So I am sure this one will never disappoint me. I know I should wait to all the stories in one, but I couldn’t ahaha. I probably will re-read it after it is completed.

I miss her. I hope she comes back with her dark, beautiful and interesting stories (that is not incest. I mean I don’t mind but no)

    Anyways, thank you so much!~

I AM WAITING UNTIL IT IS ALL OUT TO READ IT. THAT IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY.
